APA World Poverty Day Campaign Promo

APA’s Office of Socioeconomic Status launched a campaign promoting World Poverty Day (October 17). To showcase the theme we wanted to highlight the theme of poverty in an abstract, edgy fashion. Since the materials for the campaign were being delivered via CD’s it was a great opportunity to use the structure of the CD as the driving vehicle for the concept. The circular construct of the CD could represent a bowl and in the bowl, a globe would be juxtaposed to further embellish the idea of global poverty. It’s very inviting, conceptual and ties in with the CD construct. The CD cover has an image of a person holding the bowl w/globe while the actual CD has an empty bowl symbolizing famine, hunger, and poverty.
